Every program at Get Well Healthcare Academy is designed to meet the standards of the Texas Workforce Commission, Career Schools & Colleges, and prepares graduates to sit for a National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exam. Final TWC approval is pending.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
Prepares students for entry-level employment as Clinical Medical Assistants in medical offices, urgent care clinics, and outpatient facilities. Students learn vital-signs measurement, phlebotomy, EKG performance, patient intake, medication administration, patient education, medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and clinical assisting.
Graduates may be employed as Certified Clinical Medical Assistants, Medical Assistants, and Clinical Assistants at medical offices, urgent care clinics, weight-loss clinics, and specialty practices across the greater Houston metro and Texas.

Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Prepares students for entry-level employment as Phlebotomists in hospitals, medical laboratories, clinics, and blood collection facilities. Students learn venipuncture technique, capillary sticks, order of draw, specimen handling, patient identification, safety and compliance, and specimen processing.
Graduates may be employed as Certified Phlebotomy Technicians, Phlebotomists, and Lab Assistants in hospital labs, reference labs, blood banks, and outpatient clinics.

Certified EKG Technician (CET)
Prepares students for entry-level employment as EKG Technicians in cardiology practices, hospitals, urgent care clinics, and telemetry units. Students learn cardiac anatomy, EKG lead placement, machine operation, rhythm interpretation, arrhythmia recognition, and Holter monitoring.
Graduates may be employed as Certified EKG Technicians, ECG/EKG Technicians, and Cardiac Monitor Technicians at cardiology practices, hospitals, and cardiac rehabilitation facilities.

Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
Prepares students for entry-level employment as Medical Administrative Assistants in medical offices, hospitals, and healthcare facilities. Students learn patient scheduling, patient intake, medical records management, insurance verification, medical billing basics, HIPAA compliance, and office administration.
Graduates may be employed as Certified Medical Administrative Assistants, Medical Office Assistants, Front Office Coordinators, and Medical Secretaries in physician offices, medical practices, hospitals, and healthcare administration.
